At the end of every quarter, email Jim Seagren (seagren@uw.edu) the following information: Dear Jim, For Fall Quarter 2009 the total membership at the Washington Yacht Club was XX. There were XX students, XX faculty and staff, XX alumni, and XX spouses. Thank you for the use of your facilities. :) This information can be found in the database. These stats are used to calculate our HUB fees, so make sure they are submitted before the end of the quarter!! We need to maintain 50% of our membership as students in order to remain a club at UW. Therefore, student membership is VERY important. One factor that can skew the data, however, is non-student honorary members that have long since gone inactive. Such members can make the number of nonstudents seem uncharacteristically high. The solution to this is called "out to sea," and it's a "Yes/No" designation in the database. If we have an unusual amount of nonstudents, check through our Honorary NonStudent members and make sure to mark an inactive members "out to sea." |
