Public disclosure

As a non-profit exempt organization under section 501(c)(3), the club is obligated to make copies of it's annual Form 990 filed with the IRS available to the public upon request.  The specifics are detailed in 26 CFR 301.6104(d), but the basics are that the club needs to make copies of its three most recent 990 forms "widely available" to the public on its webpage and have hard copies available for public "inspection" during any scheduled office hours.  If we don't have it on our webpage, then we have to provide hard copies to anyone who request one in person or in writing.  Failure to comply with these public disclosure requirements can result in the IRS imposing penalties of $20/day, up to a maximum of $10,000.
