E-mail Lists

The club has 4 email lists managed by the UW Mailman email list manager:

1.) wyc_info - official announcements (moderated)
2.) wyc - "chat list"  anyone on the list can post
3.) kb
4.) wyc_exec 

If you get e-mails from the list asking to accept or defer messages, go to the E-mail list section of the website.
1. Click on (Whatever list it is) Administrative Interface

2. Log-in with your NetID
user: sailing
password: P1tchp0l3

3. Add people to the moderator list or attend to pending requests.

You can add your personal NetID as well.


Additional Details on list settings:
  • All lists have been configured to accept mail from any @washingtonyachtclub.org email addressed even if they are not members
  • Addition of unsubscribe link - source for these directions
    • Under "Non-Digest Options" in the adminitrative interface
    • Add the following to the footer:  <a href="%(user_optionsurl)s?password=%(user_password)s&unsub=1&unsubconfirm=1"> Click here to unsubscribe </a>
    • Doesn't look like this will work -  I got a warning so I'll email UW-IT
