Quickbooks

There are a few things you are going to have to learn about Quickbookssuch as entering people's checks or cash for memberships or othermerchandise.

This can get messy if you do not have check-signingprivileges but just get in touch with the Purser as they handle most ofthis stuff anyway.

But first you have to know how to sign in.

The User ID is "progdir" and the password is: Please ask the previous program director for this information

Purchases:
-If someone is buying something hover over "Company" until the drop-down menu appears then click "Recurring Template List."
-Onceat the template list things are pretty self-explanatory. You will bedealing mostly with "Initiations," "Merchandise" and "Renewals."
-To access these templates click on the desired area once so that it is highlighted and then click "Use."
-You will then be taken to a sales receipt page. Enter the member name "Last, First."
-Ifthey are not in the system you will be prompted with a window askingyou to add the member. Just click "Quick Add" and move on.
-If you feel that a note is worth putting in the memo line then go for it but they are not totally necessary.
-Next enter the payment method. If they have used a check enter the check number then as well.
-Make sure that you are grouping this payment in with other undeposited funds.
-Click "Save" and you are done!

Refunds:
-If you have to refund someone for something go to "Write Checks" and use the Last name, First name order that they should be under if they have ever directly paid the club for something before that way we can keep track of specific people's balances. Make sure the check number on the computer is the same as the one on the real check.

Lastly, any member can check out the club's financial reports by:
